Biography of the Conference Chair
Edwin Engin Yaz received his Ph.D. in 1982 from Bosphorus University, Istanbul, Turkey. After brief stints at Marmara Research Institute in Turkey, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and Purdue University, W. Lafayette, he rose to the rank of University Professor in 2001 at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, after which he moved to Marquette University, Milwaukee to become the Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. His current research interests lie in robust and nonlinear estimation with applications to smart sensor systems, electric machine fault diagnostics and chaotic synchronization. He has to date more than 300 publications in these and other areas. He has received numerous research and teaching awards. He has also been serving on the editorial boards of several journals.
